‘CUKI TOTS’ will endeavour to nurture the football stars of the future from 2 years of age and up.
Our aim is to ‘make certain that every child who plays a part in CUKI TOTS not only learns new skills, but most importantly has fun! Sports can provide a child with various positive outcomes such as confidence, self esteem, friendship, imagination and creating a healthy lifestyle. The impact of sport can last a lifetime and CUKI TOTS hopes that every child takes away a good experience, a skill or knowledge to use for the future’
CUKI TOTS introduces early years children into sport and football in a positive, entertaining pre-school football programme delivered in a responsive environment, with the aid of our lovable assistant ‘Lenny the Lion’.
Instructed by FA qualified coaches and early years school teachers, the CUKI TOTS football programme is an ever growing quest to teach fundamental football techniques and basic life skills in an exciting and energetic, team play environment. Important social skills such as, listening, sharing, taking turns and teamwork are thoughtfully constructed into a fun filled programme that places as much emphasis on simple learning models like colours and numbers as it does on developing a child’s basic balance, agility and co-ordination.
2 to 3 years – Lenny’s Cubs
CUKI TOTS provides an exciting, safe learning environment where a child will be encouraged to move from parent-supported participation, to active, independent interaction. Ball skills are developed via directional dribbling and striking. In addition, child interaction and cooperation is actively encouraged as our coaches seek to enhance greater social skills, sharing and overall team play. CUKI TOTS football classes start to make an impression on improving a child’s physical dexterity, particularly in the lower limbs and feet through a range of ball games. The development of these newfound skills provides our budding new stars with how best to change direction happily with the ball at their feet. Lenny’s Cubs new found confidence will enable them to progress to Lenny’s Lions!
4 to 5 years – Lenny’s Lions
Lenny’s Lions are now prepared to learn the beautiful game. Children’s growing physical and social confidence now provides the coaches with more basic options. Ball Control, first touch play and positioning are all simple skills that over time will become second nature. Coupled with problem solving and team awareness, Lenny’s Lions will be quickly demonstrating all the components of a well-rounded individual with a greater awareness of team play. However, regardless of how sport plays a role in a child’s future, we believe CUKI TOTS gives the opportunity to participate in controlled play, to think outside the penalty box, to listen to instructions and visually appreciate a game and in turn develop good learning skills for their future
6 year olds – Super Lions
Super Lions follow a coaching methodology with structured training sessions to encourage freedom and confidence to attack 1v1. Development of ball mastery, dribbling and controlled passing give players a foundation for small sided games.
Can U Kick It
Those children wishing to continue their footballing education can then continue with CUKI to the age of 16 years. However, regardless of how sport plays a role in a child’s future, we believe CUKI TOTS gives the opportunity to participate in controlled play, to think outside the penalty box, to listen to instructions and visually appreciate a game and in turn develop good learning skills for their future.
